Today, June 21st 2016, a big storm has hit North Sulawesi. It has been specially dramatic in the Islands North of Manado. Tagulandang, Siau and Biaro have been affected, but the worst storm has been in Tahuna (Sagnier), where several houses have been destroyed.
These Severe storms are quite rare. They happen when the West Wind is accompanied by big rain. These storms bring big waves to the islands between North Sulawesi and the South of the Philippines. Maritime traffic is stopped for a few days. Usually they last less than three days.
In the following pictures you can see a big wave hitting the Boulevard in Buhias, est Tagulandang:

Me and my church in Puerto Rico, USA are praying for my friend Dr. Sari that was on her way home to Manado. She is safe. We are praying for the families that have lost their homes, the sunken boats and the missing fishermen. May God be with you all.

Thank you, and your church, for praying for Sagnier. We are happy to hear your friend is safe.
Unfortunately, in Tahuna four people have lost their lives, almost one hundred houses have been destroyed, and several dozen local fishing boats have disappeared.
Thanks for your support.
